I have a Samsung TV, am trying to connect it to my iLive audio bar with the optical cable. The sound comes out but very low. Tried connecting with HDMI cable but there was absolutely no sound. When I tried the cerise & white audio cable, same result, no audio. I have AT&T U poetry.

Using the optical cable check the TV audio or set up menu. Brand sure the optical output turned on. You may need to ready it to PCM stereo. The Telly speakers may likewise accept to be turned off. Brand certain you lot selected the optical input on the soundbar. It'south fine to turn the soundbar up as high as you desire. There'south nothing wrong with information technology having the volume setting loftier so long equally it sounds OK.

Aside from a possible faulty sound bar, did you check the sound bar sound level? Non sure what the other connections yous are trying on the TV merely those are most likely INPUTS not OUTPUT connections, and then you lot won't get whatever sound out of that.
